Lisa Smith, DPM

Dr. Smith, a Columbus, Ohio native, has always been passionate about helping others lead healthy and active lives. Her academic journey began at The Ohio State University, where she earned her undergraduate degree in Biology, laying the foundation for her future in medicine. Dr. Smith went on to pursue her professional education at the Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine (KSUCPM), where she excelled in her studies and developed a deep interest in both conservative and surgical foot and ankle care.

Following graduation, Dr. Smith completed an intensive three-year surgical residency at Western Reserve Hospital near Akron, Ohio. During her residency, she gained advanced training in foot and ankle surgery, trauma care, and reconstructive procedures. This comprehensive experience equipped her with the skills and expertise to handle a wide range of podiatric conditions, from routine foot care to complex surgical cases.

Dr. Smith is board-certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and is an active member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS). She is dedicated to restoring her patients’ mobility and quality of life, whether through conservative treatments or advanced surgical interventions. Dr. Smith is known for her personalized, patient-centered approach and her commitment to exploring all treatment options to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Smith finds joy and balance in her personal life. She loves spending time with her husband and young daughter, creating cherished family memories. An avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan, she rarely misses a game and enjoys cheering on her alma mater. In her free time, she stays active through running, indulges her creative side with crafting projects, and finds fulfillment in staying connected to her community.
